After less than two years in corporate America, I ditched the day job in 1988 to become a full-time freelance journalist and corporate copywriter. For assignments requiring travel, the following transit times apply: Miami and Coral Gables (one hour); Boca Raton (20 minutes); West Palm Beach (30 minutes); Naples and Marco Island (90 minutes); Orlando (three hours); and Tampa (four hours).
